"Hayasat-1". A historic mission to space.
We are making history. The CSIE (Center for Scientific Innovation and Education) Foundation is involved in the “Hayasat-1” project, collaborating with the Bazoomq Space Research Lab on the CubeSat project. The first Armenian-made satellite, Hayasat-1, is ready. The Armenian satellite will be put into space by SpaceX's flight scheduled for November 29. The first Armenian-made satellite has already been assembled and sent to Europe for testing, after which it will be sent to the USA. The idea of space technology development in the Republic of Armenia was only theoretical. Now it is being used in practice and progress is being made. The year-long joint efforts of CSIE and Bazoomq are bearing fruit. It was implemented in practice with relatively little money and resources.
CSIE has a great role in this historical event. CSIE provides not only material but also expertise and logistical support. The project aims to send a CubeSat satellite into space and conduct a scientific experiment. Through generous support from CSIE, the Project includes establishing a laboratory, hiring and training a team of scientists and students who will have the skills and knowledge to carry out this and subsequent projects. The laboratory will become a center of competence that will be able to carry out space research, train people who will continue the laboratory, join other laboratories or companies or start their own companies.
The goal of Hayasat-1 Project is:
• Experience the entire process of satellite assembly, programming, functional testing, custom payload integration, documentation and collaboration,
• Create a foundation for the next missions,
• Attract young people interested in space engineering.
