Workshop: Safety as a System Property — From Control Design to Data-Driven Autonomy

On August 23, 2026, from 09:00 to 17:30, in Busan, Republic of Korea, the CSIE co-organized workshop “Safety as a System Property” will take place within the framework of the 23rd IFAC World Congress (IFAC 2026).

The workshop will focus on a timely question: how can we ensure safety in modern autonomous systems, where learning, planning, decision-making, and control are deeply connected?

The program will bring together leading researchers working on robust and stochastic control, learning-enabled autonomy, formal methods, distributionally robust planning, and safety-critical systems.
