CSIE Team Advances to 2nd Round of ACC'25s Prestigious Self-Driving Car Student Competition

Exciting News! Our Team Advances to 2nd Round of ACC Self-Driving Car Student Competition 2025
We're thrilled to announce that our student team has ADVANCED TO THE SECOND ROUND of the prestigious "ACC Self-Driving Car Student Competition" organized by “Quanser”! This competition is part of the American Control Conference (ACC'25), which will take place in Denver, Colorado, USA, from July 8-10, 2025.
Our team has successfully completed the qualifying round, submitted their solution for the preliminary challenge, and has advanced to the second round of the competition!
The team is led by Anna Beklaryan, with members Lusine Barseghyan and Milena Ispiryan working together under the guidance of their advisor, PhD Haykanush Darbinyan. All team members are both NPUA students and CSIE research interns. A special thanks to our junior researcher Andy Younes for her ongoing support throughout the competition.
This year's competition challenges students to maximize profits as an autonomous taxi service by navigating through a virtual city to pick up and drop off passengers at specific coordinates. Teams must handle various traffic scenarios while following road rules.
