Seminar on Indoor Tracking using Iterative Closest Point (ICP) Algorithm

Seminar on Indoor Tracking using Iterative Closest Point (ICP) Algorithm

On July 4 at 4:00 PM, the 17th seminar in the CSIE Seminar Series took place, focusing on indoor tracking systems and the application of the Iterative Closest Point algorithm for drone navigation.

The seminar was led by CSIE research intern Artak Mnatsakanyan, who presented a comprehensive overview of indoor tracking technologies, covering drone systems, Vicon motion capture technology, and the mathematical foundations of ICP algorithm including rotation matrices, Euler angles, and SVD decomposition. The presentation also demonstrated practical applications in autopilot data transmission and various ICP algorithm variants.
