On October 7 at 6:30 PM, the 24th seminar in the CSIE Seminar Series took place, focusing on an in-depth exploration of the Kalman Filter, covering its theoretical foundations, algorithm steps (prediction, measurement, and update), and practical applications in state estimation for systems with noisy observations and measurements.


The seminar was led by CSIE research intern Ousama Saghie, who presented his observations on the seminar's topic, discussing key concepts including the optimal estimation algorithm for linear models and Gaussian distributions, model equations (state transition, control input, and observation models), and practical applications such as combining accelerometer and gyroscope data for angle estimation in robotics and autonomous systems.
