Seminar on the topic “Price Models in Mean Field Games”
On January 21, at 2:00 PM, Professor Diogo Gomes (KAUST) delivered an insightful seminar at YSU's Faculty of Mathematics and Mechanics, discussing mathematical models for price formation in mean-field games and their applications.
The seminar focused on mathematical models for price formation in large populations of rational agents trading commodities, exploring connections between mean-field game theory, optimal transport, and machine learning, with applications to practical problems such as smart grids.
Special thanks to the seminar speaker - Professor Gomes for sharing his knowledge and expertise!
About the Speaker:
Professor Diogo Gomes is a Professor of Applied Mathematics and Computational Science at KAUST and has served as Chair of the AMCS Program since 2018. His research focuses on partial differential equations, with an emphasis on viscosity solutions and mean-field models. He earned his Ph.D. from the University of California, Berkeley (2000) and completed postdoctoral work at the Institute for Advanced Study in Princeton and the University of Texas at Austin.
